New data: Almost all olive oil is rancid at the time of purchase (See U.C. Davis studies). The top two quality extra virgin olive oils are Kirkland and Trader Joe's California Extra Virgin. Extra Virgin Olive Oil should be in dark bottles or cans, small containers, and stored in the dark at room temp. Otherwise it is not especially healthy. Warn against canola oil, which contains excessive Omega 6 fatty acids.
